Eugen Cristea, the singing voice of Rafiki in this sequel, was the voice of Banzai in the first movie; while Andreea Bibiri, who voices here Vitani, was originally the voice of Sarabi. For her part, Andra Gogan, the singing voice of Young Vitani, was the voice of Young Nala.
Claudiu Stănescu, the voice of Mufasa, died on June 4, 2017. He was 53 years-old.
