Casting started in 2014, and recordings went through in 2015. - "Finding Nemo" is the second movie to be dubbed into Navajo, after "Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope" (dubbed in 2013).
- Andrew Boddie Harvey, the voice of Marlin, originally auditioned for the role of Bruce, which he didn't get, but was called back to try out for Bubbles. That very same day, after returning home, he got a call back to eventually try out for Marlin, the lead role.
