Sweden - July 29, 1994 - Birgitta Larsson, the voice of Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, was suggested for Thumbelilina; before auditioning for the role of Thumbelina's mother, but Warner Bros thought she sounded too young for the mother.
Dan Malmer, who'll dub Kocoum one year later in Pocahontas; and Richard Carlsohn, who'll dub Jacquimo here instead, were suggested for Prince Cornelius; while Joakim Jennefors, who'll become the voice of Quasimodo in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, passed tests for the role.
Jonas Malmsjö, who was chosen for the dialogue of Cornelius, also tried out for the singing parts.
Johan Ulveson, who'll voice Pain and Panic in Hercules, auditioned for Berkeley Beetle.
Jan Nygren, who voiced among others, Mr. Snoops in The Rescuers; Trigger in Robin Hood; and Amos Slade in The Fox and the Hound, was tested for the role of Grundel. Björn Gedda and Allan Svensson, who'll end up voicing King Colbert and Mr. Mole in the movie respectively, were first thought for Grundel as well.
Lil Terselius, the voice of the Evil Queen in the 1982 re-dub of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs; Meg Westergren, the voice of Giddy in the 1972 re-dub of Dumbo; Birgitta Andersson, the voice of Lady Kluck in Robin Hood; and Siw Malmkvist, who'll dub Yzma in The Emperor's New Groove and Laverne in The Hunchback of Notre Dame, were suggested, among others, for the role of Ms. Fieldmouse.
Sven Wollter, who'll dub Bill Sykes in the 1997 re-dub of Oliver & Company; and John Silver in Treasure Planet, was suggested for Mr. Mole.
