- Release dates :
France - September 9, 1998 (Special screening) (Deauville Film Festival)
France - November 1998 (Special screening) (Grand Rex, Paris)
France - November 1998 (VHS) - After the end credits, a French official clip of the song "As Long As There's Christmas", performed by Jane Fostin can be seen on the VHS.
- This is the first time Lily Baron dubbed Mrs. Potts, following the lawsuit of Lucie Dolène (Mrs. Potts' original French voice) in 1996 against Disney for the royalties on her voice. She will not only reprise the role in the second sequel, but will also redub the lines of the character in the first movie for the 2002 release (only for speaking).
- Unlike the first movie in which Emmanuel Jacomy also dubbed the Beast's human form, another actor was brought in to dub the Prince in this sequel.
- For the first time, Belgium used a different title : "La Belle et la Bête - Le plus Beau des Noëls".
- Jade-Nadja Nguyen, the voice of Angelique, was credited simply as Nadja Nguyen.
- Claude Rigal-Ansous, the translator, was miscredited as Claude Rigal-Anssous.
- Frédéric Dray, the mixing engineer, was miscredited as Frédérique Dray.
